Filling the F1 Void

How's everybody doing so far? We're a little bit closer to Melbourne but still not close enough – in fact, it's just been snowing here in MK and we'd happily swap that for sunny Australia right now!

However, February has plenty of thrills lined up to keep us busy without F1, so here's the lowdown on some more ways to pass the time until we're back in the paddock and revving up those engines!

Red Bull Valparaíso Cerro Abajo – Chile. 11th February
Running for a 16th time, this crucial urban downhill MTB event returns to Valparaíso in Chile to wow the crowds and test the riders to the limit once more. The course is a challenging mixture of tight turns, long staircases and big jumps, ensuring plenty of thrills for the 34 riders competing in the unique playground for the title of "King of the Port". Catch it LIVE on Red Bull TV on February 11th and watch highlights from previous years here

Red Bull Twitch 'n' Ride - Latvia. February 11th

Riding dirt bikes in the snow is one thing. Strapping your mate to a pair of skis and then towing them on an MX track is quite another! Such is the point of Red Bull Twitch 'n' Ride, in which teams do just that, presenting a fresh twist on the sport of "skijoring". Rather than a trad MX track, the course is more akin to a hare scramble and includes countryside jumps, ice and dirt, all of which challenge the competitors no end. It's full throttle, super daring and requires the kind of team trust and co-operation that you see in rally. Find out more on the official Facebook event page plus Red Bull's regular social channels.

FIA World Rally Championship - Sweden. February 16th – 18th
Been keeping up with the action so far? If so, you'll know that the defending WRC champion (and Red Bull family stalwart) Sébastien Ogier made a superb start in Monte Carlo and cinched his fifth win in a row. Next up, the WRC is heading for the icy trails of Sweden, arguably the only true winter event of the season, which requires the drivers to adapt their style and keep their wits about them in order to handle the tricky conditions. Catch it LIVE on Red Bull TV, February 16th-18th. Stay up to date with all the info from WRC here
