This weekend we're off to Sakhir for the Bahrain Grand Prix but that's not the end of our early-season Middle Eastern tour. When the race team pack-up and start hunting for their Chinese Visa, the boys and girls of the Live Demo team will be heading for the Gulf of Oman and a showcar run on the Muttrah Corniche in exotic Muscat. So, it you're in the region the weekend after next, why not head for Oman and see a World Championship-winning Formula One car visiting places other F1 cars cannot reach. Here's our handy guide to the event...

So, what is it?
Red Bull Racing will be in Oman on April 8th, where our showcar team will be running a genuine double world-championship winning RB8 Formula One car in Muscat on the Muttrah Corniche. David Coulthard, winner of 13 grands prix in a record-breaking career, will be behind the wheel, ruining several sets of very expensive tyres he doesn't have to pay for with the full array of donuts, burnouts and sprints.

OK, when does it start, where do I get tickets?
You don't need tickets, just turn up. Like all of our Live Demo events, attending the Oman Showrun is free. There is a premium viewing area for those who want to spend a few rials – but there'll be plenty of good vantage points for those who don't. Bring your friends, bring your family, bring your sun cream and hat. The event starts at 1430 but we're expecting at least 20,000 people, so try to be there by 1400 to make sure you get a good viewing spot. We'll be finished up by 1630.

How do I get there?
Couldn't be easier, the Muttrah Corniche is one of the most iconic and historic streets in Muscat. Just head for the sea wall and you'll find us setting up. Handily, the venue is also surrounded by restaurants and cafés, so after being wowed by DC and the RB8, you can grab a bite and a drink.
