An Austin-tatious display of power

The old adage goes that ‘everything is bigger in Texas’, so when it comes to putting on a show guaranteed to raise the hairs on the back of a Lone Star Statesman’s neck then you just know you’ve got to go larger than usual.

And that's exactly what Infiniti plan to do in the run-up to this year's United States Grand Prix, by bringing a massive dose of F1 excitement to the streets of Austin.

On October 29, the Wednesday of race week, we'll be bringing F1 and F1-inspired thunder to the streets of Austin in the shape of Daniel at the wheel of the title-winning RB7 and Sebastian driving the 560-horsepower, F1-tech influenced Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge prototype up and down Congress Avenue.

The Infiniti live street event will kick off at midday local time on the corner of Congress Avenue and 7th Street, at the foot of the iconic Texas Capitol building. Following the arrival of Seb and Dan – and a few quick introductions – the driver will jump behind the wheel of the respective cars and will launch into a series of flat-out runs through the downtown area.

On the day, a few lucky fans will be plucked from the crowd for an edge-of-the-seat blast through the city streets alongside Seb in the Q50 Eau Rouge. So, if you've already booked your flights and you're heading to Austin for the US GP then head on down to the city's main drag and you might just get the ride of a lifetime!
