Fan-Tastic

Sometimes the best thing in life is being an F1 fan.

One of the highlights of 2013 for the team was the #OPENHOUSE event we held during the summer, when we threw open our factory doors to a hundred F1 fans to let them see what really goes on in our racing team. Our fans went on a tour of the factory and enjoyed a strategy simulation in the ops room, they got the chance to talk to our engineers, meet the drivers, train with the physios and even practice pitstops.

Following its success, we're planning a whole series of #OPENHOUSE events in 2014 with a host of experiences money can't buy. We're not giving away all the details just yet but we'll have some very special events coming your way soon. We'll be launching competitions to win places here on the website and via our social channels, so watch this space for more details – there will be questions later.

In addition, there are plenty of other ways to see our F1 cars in the flesh. We've got another spectacular LIVE DEMO programme lined up for fans in 2014 and will be once more taking our showcar to the places Formula One doesn't usually reach. So far we've visited over 40 countries, so check back here and see if we're coming to a city street (mountain, beach, desert, frozen lake etc.) near you soon.

To get things going we're searching for two Infiniti Red Bull Racing super fans to come to the factory on 20 March. If you can get to Milton Keynes under your own steam then this is the competition for you. We want you to send us the question you'd like to ask The Team and a short reason why you fit the profile of an Infiniti Red Bull Racing Superfan. Sounds easy? Well... it is. We've got enough complications going on around here at the moment without inventing new ones. Simply send your entries to social@redbullracing.com and we'll do the rest.

Now, to finish here's a few of the nice things that people said about our last #OPENHOUSE event – just to prove we're not narcissistic, attention-seekers with over-active imaginations and abandonment issues. Well, not exclusively...

Scott Mcilvaney:

"Thank You - it doesn't seem quite enough to be honest!!! You build up to an event or occasion, look forward and be excited and sometimes it just doesn't live up to the hype that you or others create!! But I must say, myself and Stuart were blown away by the #Openhouse event and that's why saying only 'thank you' just doesn't seem enough. From the minute we arrived until it was all over, it just got better and better and better. Formula 1 seems untouchable to so many people, and it probably is but what we noticed most was the human touch and warmth towards us from everyone involved. Sincerest thanks from both of us for giving us access to the #ticketmoneycantbuy"

Jo Potts:

"We had THE most AMAZING time at #OPENHOUSE. It was a day truly dedicated to the fans, everything had been thoroughly planned and thought out, the access you gave us around the factory was mind blowing and the guides (for want of a better word) were abfab! Everyone was happy, friendly, wanted to be there (or at least appeared so! LoL!) And the atmosphere was phenomenal."
