From Milton Keynes to Melbourne: Filling the F1 Void!
Yeah, we hear you. The holiday season is over, testing is miles away and it's definitely not time for Melbourne yet. Even though we've got the business of working in F1 to keep us busy, as a factory full of F1 superfans, we've got the blues just as hard as you have.
But you know us – we're not going to leave you dangling until the season kicks off! Between now and Melbourne, we'll be giving you some ideas to help you fill that F1 void. Here's a quick round up of some of the ways you can get your adrenaline fix.
Dakar 2018 – happening now!
The desert duel is back! The Dakar Rally is already underway and delivering thrills and drama, kicking off with Stage 1 and Stage 2 in Lima and Pisco last weekend and taking in the Pacific Coast and the full might of the dunes of Ica. What is it? A legendary annual event that brings together the finest motorsports competitors across bike, car, truck and more, and pits them in stages against some of the fiercest rally locations and conditions on the planet. A regular proving outing for the likes of Carlos Sainz, Sébastien Loeb, Cyil Despres and many more, it's a feast for motorsport fans everywhere.
WRC 2018 – Launching January 11th, then from January 25th onwards
Returning to Monte-Carlo on January 25th, the World Rally Championship will start warming up at the Autosport International Show in Birmingham, UK on 11th January, where reigning champion Sébastien Ogier will be among the guests taking to the stage and some of the latest cars will be on show. Two weeks later, Ogier along with the likes of Sébastien Loeb, Andreas Mikkelsen, Thierry Neuville and plenty other familiar faces will begin with a revised Monte-Carlo route, moving on to Sweden, Mexico, France and more before finishing in Australia in November.
