Aerodynamics Technology Development Engineer [R0001003]

This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of our highly skilled team working at the pinnacle of Formula One. Red Bull Technology is looking to recruit a talented Engineering Software Developer to develop and support its range of bespoke in-house analysis tools. Working from our Milton Keynes factory you will be part of a small team and provide key software tools to the aerodynamics department.
Apply your knowledge of kdb+ to the unique, fast moving world of Formula One and use your creativity to develop new innovative systems to solve some of the challenges around designing and developing championship winning racing cars.
We require an engineer who is educated to degree level in Applied Mathematics or Computer Science with experience in the development of kdb+ based software systems and excellent software development skills. They will also be experienced in agile software development, developing software for Linux or Windows and familiar with scripting languages - particularly BASH and python.
The team works on a diverse range of projects using a wide array of technologies; experience with some of the following would be beneficial:
- kdb+ and q with Kx Control, Streams and Dashboards
- Development and deployment of Machine Learning based systems
You should be self-motivated and proactive, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work to very tight deadlines within a dynamic team environment, often with minimal supervision.

Aerodynamics Design Engineer [R0001213]

We are currently seeking a Design Engineer to work within our Aerodynamics Technology Development team.
The group’s remit is research and development of tools for aerodynamics development. It is about finding new and effective ways of learning about the car. In this role you will be an integral part of our design team, involved in a variety of mechanical design projects for our state of the art wind tunnel facilities.
The successful applicant should ideally have:
- A degree in mechanical engineering or similar qualification
- Experience (5+ Years) of relevant to mechanical design experience (Formula One or other motor sport environment would be useful but not essential)
- Experienced in the use of 3D CAD (NX12 and use of its wire routing and stress tools would be beneficial)
- A creative approach to developing new concepts and problem solving.
- An organised and methodical approach to work.

Model Maker (Wind Tunnel Rotating Night Shift) [R0001219]

We have an exciting opportunity for a Model Maker to join our Aerodynamics Department. You will join our highly skilled team, working at our Wind Tunnel facility in Bedford on a rotating pattern of day and night shifts.
The role will involve manufacturing wind tunnel model parts accurately to tight deadlines. Candidates will also be required to support the wind tunnel testing of model parts. Good hand skills and attention to detail are essential along with familiarity with model parts and construction.
The successful candidate will have a recognised apprenticeship or training qualification and previous experience of model making, laminating, machining and wind tunnel testing. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work to tight timescales and deadlines without compromising on accuracy are essential. The successful candidate will also be highly motivated, work well under pressure, and have hands on approach, along with proven problem solving skills.
