KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a bright and talented Software Developer Apprentice to develop software in a number of areas across the business. This includes Simulation, Race Strategy, Aerodynamics and Corporate IT systems. Don’t’ worry, we will support and mentor you to work alongside some of the brightest and best engineering minds in the world to build a championship challenging race car and the analysis tools that live around it.

You will commit to learning the skills and develop the knowledge required to operate within different disciplines of our Software Development Department. We will support you in learning about high performance software, data processing, analytics and visualisation. You will learn the practice of good software development and will gain extensive experience and training across a wide range of applications supporting different engineering disciplines.

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be considered for the role you will have:

  • 5 GCSEs at A*- C/9 - 4 including Maths and English.
  • A-Levels or equivalent BTEC in Maths, Physics or Computer Science are required.
  • Able to think logically, show good communication skills and demonstrate a can do attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving mind-set.
  • Demonstrate a high level of self-motivation, commitment and a keen interest in technology through your prior studies and projects.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team is an essential skill within Aston Martin Red Bull Racing.

  • Please ensure you are able to travel to Milton Keynes 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

We are currently seeking 2 individuals to join our Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship programme.  You will be required to commit to learning the skills and knowledge required to operate within the different disciplines of our Finance Department.

  • You will learn and perform duties as carried out in Accounts Payable, Sales Ledger, Treasury, General Ledger and Management Accounts.
  • Understand and assist with compliance reporting and financial analysis.
  • Be trained to support the department in preparing internal management reports.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for the role you will have:

  • 5 GCSE’s at A*-C/9-4 including Maths and English
  • Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE) (desirable).
  • Candidates must demonstrate a desire and commitment to want to work and learn.
  • The ability to work well as part of a Team is an essential skill within Aston Martin Red Bull Racing.

Technical Partnerships - Senior Partnership Manager [R0000883]

Based within the Marketing Department, this role will be primarily focused on the strategic management of some of the Team’s Innovation Partnerships. We are looking for someone with experience in the technology sector, who can become an engaging and technically-minded advocate and account manager for several of our key Technical Partners.

Reporting directly into the Head of Technical Partnerships, you will create unique and powerful activation programmes capitalising on Aston Martin Red Bull Racing’s unique brand attributes and real-world technology use cases. You will be expected to form a good understanding of Partner products and services, and convey key sales messages and technology features on behalf of the Partner, becoming an internal advocate and specialist in their respective technologies, and how they fit into the World of F1.

Principal Accountabilities: 

The role will require a candidate who can understand and uphold the brand values of Aston Martin Red Bull Racing, whilst engaging with Partners and their customers from across the IT sector. This will include:

  • Leading the delivery of contractual marketing benefits for several Innovation Partners, engaging both internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional results.
  • Leverage good technical understanding of Partner products to deliver creative and exciting showcasing opportunities, across a wide range of asset formats (including video, driver activations, branding & collateral usage and guest hosting).
  • Become the day-to-day relationship manager for these Partners, and an advocate for their technology within the business.

Skills Required: 

Candidates will have a good basic understanding of engineering principles, and a keen interest to learn more about the techniques and processes used in a Formula One team. The successful applicant would be expected to discuss comfortably, at a high level, a wide range of technical topics and products provided to the Team by various Innovation Partners, including product design, simulation and analysis, manufacture, inspection, vehicle dynamics, and elements of the IT infrastructure which underpin these areas.

  • 5 years’ experience in pre-sales or product marketing in the IT or technology sector
  • Degree-level qualification in IT, engineering, marketing or similar
  • Excellent presentation skills, with an ability to tell technical stories in an engaging and exciting manner
  • Experience of managing events, and working in a motorsport environment would be beneficial
  • Experience in managing customer relationships with major international corporations.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are both prerequisites for this role.
  • Experience in co-ordinating media events or video content capture would be beneficial.
  • Able to travel on occasion to support events.

Sitting in our Marketing team, this role will be responsible for building and maintaining successful commercial relationships, principally with Honda, but also with other Partners of Aston Martin Red Bull Racing. Your role will be to facilitate effective integrated marketing and sponsorship programmes and be the first point of contact with Partners on a day-to-day basis. You will lead collaboration and guidance through the Partners’ activation process in the interest of the brand and the team, as well as working with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional activations and build stronger relationships. This role will also provide support on occasion in enabling effective communications with key Team members using fluent Japanese language skills.

Principal Accountabilities:  

  • Set up reporting and communication systems to ensure regular correspondence with Partners (weekly conference calls, regular face to face meetings, weekly status reports, contact reports etc)
  • Support the Hospitality Team in coordinating and delivering extensive hospitality programmes for partners guests at Races, Tests and the Factory, including delivering detailed tours to a technical audience
  • Manage Partners’ above and below the line advertising campaigns and provide partners with access to the necessary Aston Martin Red Bull Racing portals to access content and imagery
  • Increase additional commercial revenue through Partners events, projects and hospitality programmes
  • Implement consistent brand image across all Partner marketing and promotional activities ensuring brand guidelines are adhered to
  • Monitor campaign performance, prepare campaign reviews, media evaluation reports and sports marketing research and recommendations for future marketing and promotional activity

Requirements:

  • Fluent Japanese and English speaker
  • University degree in Marketing or Engineering, plus proven track record in Partnership Management
  • Basic technical understanding of F1 power units
  • Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well, finding creative solutions with a flexible attitude
  • Able to travel to several races and tests, and work from the office the rest of the time
  • High level of precision and focus on details
  • Excellent organisational skills and troubleshooting capabilities
