The Composite Project Buyer will be responsible for sourcing composite components, within a cost effective and timely manner for Red Bull Technology. You will also be required to assist in the operation of the Production Office by facilitating the progress of order placements and follow up on orders as requested. You will be required to identify capacity requirements for forthcoming projects to meet demands.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Procurement within the Automotive or Motorsport industries and be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of low volume, high complexity composite manufacturing processes.  You will be expected to communicate with other team members at various levels and will possess excellent literacy and computer skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines.

Communication skills and a proactive attitude are essential for this role.

Ideally you will be Degree qualified in an Electronics discipline, combined with the relevant experience of Motorsport Electronics.  

The following additional competencies are also a pre requisite for this role:

  • A high level understanding of Electrical and Electronic systems used within the Motorsport, Aerospace or Automotive industries. 
  • You will be experienced in producing robust design solutions for small batch, prototype, Analogue and Digital circuits and have experience of working as part of a small multi skilled engineering group.
  • You will be competent in producing Technical documentation and specifications.
  • You will have a good knowledge of sensor technologies.
  • You will be process driven with a tremendous level of self-motivation and initiative, and are an excellent communicator both verbal and written.
  • Experience in the use of PCB design tools and Computer Aided Design Harness packages. (Ideally Unigraphics NX8.5 or above) would be advantageous.

The role involves working on a wide variety of projects within our Electronics Design function and alongside our team of Engineers. You will be responsible for the specification, design, test and calibration of our Electrical and Electronic components and their associated equipment, allowing us to meet the requirements of our Engineering function. You will work on our on and off car systems, test rigs and equipment as well as producing the required documentation and procedures to suit. You will be required to carry out fault investigation and resolution of allocated issues. You will be working with various disciplines across RBR and RBT.

We are currently seeking an Electronics Test and Inspection Technician to join the Electronics Department.

You will be responsible for all aspects of Test, Inspection and documentation of the wide range of sensors, electronic components, assemblies and looms used on our F1 car and support equipment. You will also be required to maintain and operate our full range of test and inspection equipment including specialist rig equipment.  You will contribute to the design and development of future test and inspection techniques and equipment.

The ideal candidate should have

  • Some experience working in either the motorsports industry at a suitably high level or the aviation industry in a similar capacity (Licenced Technician / Technician)
  • A thorough basic understanding of electrical fundamentals and sensor theory and technology.
  • Be computer literate with normal Microsoft office applications such as word/excel etc. and also be able to quickly learn and adapt to using the bespoke applications used within RBT.

Good communication skills, enthusiasm and the ability to learn and adapt quickly are prerequisite for the role. The ability to work well as part of a team is an essential skill within Red Bull Technology.

We are looking for an Inspector to join our NDT Group.

This role involves the detailed inspection of complex and critical race car components and assemblies to the highest standards using various inspection methods, recording and reporting results in accordance with our procedures.

The applicant will have extensive proven NDT experience and ideally possess level 2 qualifications in Ultrasonics, Magnetic Particle, Penetrants and Eddy Current. You will also be able to demonstrate skills in the use of inspection measuring equipment.

Applicants interested in applying will ideally be apprentice trained, hold an ONC/HNC qualification or equivalent and have experience and knowledge within a Manufacturing/Inspection environment. You will be a self-motivator with a proactive approach and a flexible attitude to shift patterns. In addition, you will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work to very tight deadlines, often with minimum supervision and have the ability to deal with challenging situations and delivery pressures.

This role is based at Red Bull Racing and Red Bull Technology’s headquarters in Milton Keynes, and you may be required to travel to race and test events.

We are seeking a highly motivated, flexible and innovative engineer capable of working to the highest standards to join our Vehicle Dynamics Department as part of our Customer Support Team.

In this role you will develop and implement vehicle and component models for application to customer projects. This will include: quasi-static models, dynamic models, and associated analysis and test.

This position requires a candidate with good mathematical skills with an engineering background, a strong background in modelling techniques, together with a good working knowledge of Matlab/Simulink. Knowledge of Modelica, Dymola and Python is desirable but not essential.

You will interact with the Vehicle Dynamics group, IT Department and our customers, and will need good communication skills and a professional approach in dealings with customers. Disciplined time management and planning will be essential for achieving customer model release dates.

This is a varied and dynamic role with opportunity for working with a range of modelling techniques. You will have the satisfaction of seeing the results of your work applied by our customers. It will be a challenging and exciting role and provides the opportunity to be part of a very strong vehicle dynamics team.

We have an exciting opportunity to be part of our highly skilled Aerodynamics team, focusing on the development of our multi-championship winning Formula One cars. Our open, dynamic environment ensures that everyone can make a valuable contribution to increasing our F1 car’s performance and we are looking for experienced Aerodynamics Engineers to join us and ensure our future success on the race track.

 

Working from our Milton Keynes factory you will be involved in the complete development cycle from initial concepts through to deployment on the race car. This will include the design of components, being responsible for wind tunnel and CFD programmes, analysing aerodynamic performance data and contributing to the development of tools and methods.  As a senior member within a development group you will also be required to act as a mentor to others within the group, guiding development on various projects while also managing your own work load.

 

To fulfil these positions you will need:

  • A minimum of an Engineering Degree with a specialisation in Aerodynamics
  • A minimum of 4 years experience in a relevant field, preferably Formula 1
  • Detailed knowledge of aerodynamic principles, wind tunnel testing and CFD techniques
  • A good understanding of data analysis tools and techniques and other multi-disciplinary engineering skills including CAD and vehicle dynamics
  • An organised and methodical approach to work
